LANDSCAPE PLAN FOR GUADELOUPE’S ROADS

The Plan Paysage des routes de Guadeloupe aims to:
– Make the road a means of perceiving and enhancing the discovery of landscapes
– Improve the quality of life of people living near these infrastructures
– Get residents, users and developers to work together to develop strategies for adaptation that are qualitative, chosen and shared.

It is a tool for taking account of the national road landscape, whether in terms of its protection, management or development, in sectoral land-use policies (urban planning, transport, infrastructure, renewable energies, agriculture) at the operational scale of the landscape and landscape units.

It implements a policy of sustainable regional development and good management of “everyday” landscapes, guaranteeing access for all to a quality living environment.

Our missions:

• Draw up an inventory of landscapes and environments
• Formulate Landscape and Environmental Quality Objectives (OQP)
• Implement a short-, medium- and long-term action program
• Public consultation workshops
