REDEVELOPING THE HEART OF THE SABLETTES – LA SEYNE-SUR-MER

Redevelopment of public spaces in the hamlet of Les Sablettes, south of the town of La Seyne-sur-Mer.

A tourist and seaside resort, the Sablettes district is a Site Patrimonial Remarquable (SPR, which follows on from a ZPPAUP and an AVAP). Organized on either side of its avenue Charles de Gaulle, it boasts a wealth of shops and a seaside location. Partly demolished in April 1944, it was rebuilt by Fernand Pouillon, earning it its classification today. Its spaces have aged, deteriorated and lost their legibility through an accumulation of various urban objects and the omnipresence of the car.
The aim is to restore the urban and landscape quality of the spaces, to calm traffic flows and to put pedestrians and plants back at the heart of the project.
