PARC DE LA FALAISE DU MALPAS – TERRASSON-LAVILLEDIEU
At the heart of the town of Terrasson in the Dordogne, the Malpas cliff is a natural area perched high above the Vézère river. 350m long and 32m high, it forms a natural promontory whose sheer size has always left its mark on the town. A highly strategic passageway at certain periods in history, it has shaped the city’s contemporary appearance, from the ramparts to today’s major traffic arteries. Because of the major risk of collapse, the need to secure and consolidate this natural site gave rise to a garden project overlooking the valley.
