PROMENADE DE L’AQUEDUC DE LA DHUIS
The development of the Dhuis aqueduct into a pedestrian/cyclist promenade represents a major challenge for the development of the Ile-de-France region.
The 25 km-long linear promenade crosses two départements (Seine Saint Denis and Seine et Marne) and some 15 communes. The development plan proposed by the team emphasizes the rigor of a green ribbon bordered by two pedestrian and cycle paths.
The aqueduct becomes a unifying element, an open-air walkway providing a balcony over a fragmented landscape, helping to open up the countryside and create a link between town and country.
