CAEN TRAMWAY

The Caen tramway project involves demolishing the old tramway on tires, known as TVR, and rebuilding a new tramway on iron over more than 16km in less than 18 months, while reusing some of the equipment and infrastructure of the old route. The project, which took place between July 2015 and July 2019, was a real technical challenge in terms of design and construction, and was subject to a number of major changes and hazards.

The inauguration of the project took place on July 27, 2019, marking the success of the operation!
