ALLÉE DES ACACIAS GREENWAY – MÉRIGNAC

The project is located in the commune of Mérignac, within the perimeter of the Bordeaux AéroparcOpération d’Intérêt Métropolitain, in the
sector known as Centre Aéroparc.

Since 2023, Avenue J.F Kennedy has been home to the Tramway A extension to the airport, and has become one of Bordeaux’s major arterial roads, generating a significant increase in vehicle traffic on Allée des Acacias in line with the sector’s tertiary development.
The aim of the project on this avenue is therefore to upgrade it by encouraging active modes of transport from Kennedy to rue Nicolas Leblanc.

The redevelopment takes into account the following programmatic ambitions:

• Requalification of existing profile
• Continuity of soft modes in the form of a greenway along the entire length of the line
• Raising crossroads and pedestrian crossings, particularly in connection with a sports complex
