CREATION OF A NEW URBAN CENTER – SOLLIÈS-PONT

The project involves redeveloping public spaces in the old town center to create a new centrality, made possible in particular by the demolition of an old municipal building in a dense fabric.

On the program:

• Redefining the city’s hypercentre and giving it a common identity
• Restoring the quality of places
• De-imperviousing and putting plants back at the heart of the project as a structuring element
• Calming places and sharing space in a pedestrian-friendly way
• Enhance the town’s vernacular heritage by rediscovering the canal that runs through the center of the town

The project includes 2 fountains, fairground bollards, comfort furniture, numerous plantings… with zone 20 status for the landscaped perimeter.
