DEVELOPMENT OF THE ZAC NOTRE DAME
The Notre Dame ZAC lies to the south of the historic center of La Queue en Brie, bounded by the RN4, the Parc Départemental des Marmousets and the Forêt de Notre Dame.
The ZAC is part of a historic territory that has always been characterized by the presence of major environmental resources. The Notre Dame forest, part of the green belt of the Parisian ring road and the Arc Boisé, is undoubtedly the site’s most outstanding feature. Major historic urban axes and long, straight forest paths still mark and structure the contemporary territory, despite the fragmented, mixed-use character of more recent urban fabrics.
The area of the ZAC, mostly made up of wasteland, is punctuated by a series of paths leading to the forest, and is strongly characterized by the presence of hedgerows.
