HIPPODROME DE LONGCHAMP IN PARIS

Dating back to 1857, the Hippodrome de Longchamp is the most important racecourse in Paris.

France Galop has decided to modernize the entire racecourse, launching the “Nouveau Longchamp” project, including demolition and reconstruction of the Jockey Club, Présidentielle and “balances” stands, extension of the stables, renovation of the Pavillon stand, administration building and totalizator building, demolition of the City Council stand and all related buildings, reconstruction of new buildings (restaurant, events and educational activities), preparation for the installation of a new “all-weather” track, and landscaping associated with the entire project.

The layout and organization of the new racecourse structures was designed to ensure a perfect match between the facility and its surroundings – the Bois de Boulogne and the nearby Seine – and to preserve the many existing trees while guaranteeing the functional logic of the racecourse.
