HUANGSHANLU FOREST PARK – CHINA

Huanshanlu Forest Park, on the Nansha peninsula, represents a double challenge. It is the culmination of the great green corridor that stretches between the China Sea and the heart of the Guangzhou metropolis, and the starting point for the tourist conversion of the Nansha district’s urban complex. – Watch the film

The objectives of Huanshanlu Forest Park are :

to preserve and enhance the natural environment (sensitive natural environment) in a fun and entertaining way
to provide keys to understanding in order to prolong discovery in the field
to create a facility with an international vocation, interconnected with other sites with an environmental vocation

The new park is thus formed by the combination of three autonomous systems, each with its own logic, peculiarities and limits: the system of objects (or points), the system of promenades (or lines), the system of spaces (or surfaces). The superimposition of the different systems creates a carefully arranged series of tensions that reinforce the Park’s dynamism.

It will also be a connected park, offering a dialogue between forest and lake stakeholders and users, through the use of an interactive tool downloadable onto smart phones, or via digital tablets for hire.
