REDEVELOPMENT OF BOULEVARD GEORGES LEYGUES – VILLENEUVE-SUR-LOT

As part of the Action Cœur de Ville program, the Allées Georges Leygues project will radically transform the gateway to the Bastide. Today a road boulevard, tomorrow it will be a generously planted boulevard with a focus on soft mobility: 50% soft-mode spaces and more than 25% planted and permeable surfaces (the 50% soft-mode spaces themselves flowing into the green spaces).
Comfort and continuity for soft modes of transport, greenery and freshness, user-friendliness, attractiveness of shops, heritage enhancement… these are the main targets of these developments, which take place within a Remarkable Heritage Sector perimeter.

This project also led us to requalify the forecourt of the Théâtre Georges Leygues (classified MH) | Replace the remembrance wall of the Monument aux morts with lighter, transparent individual steles | Associate the Monument aux morts with a remembrance garden | Implement underground tanks to harvest roof water for watering | Transplant existing trees directly onto the project | Etc.
