ZAC DE PIERREFONDS – SAINT-PIERRE

The CIVIS wishes to develop the Pierrefonds economic development zone in the commune of Saint-Pierre, an operation that has been declared to be of community interest.

The Pierrefonds zone is located at the western entrance to the commune and covers a 106-hectare area classified as AUSTma in the PLU 15 years ago.

By developing this territory, CIVIS aims to develop the Pierrefonds economic hub, complementing the various local business parks located in the urban centers of the various catchment areas.

The main objective of the development of this large-scale ZAC for the Grand Sud will be to comply with the Grenelle de l’Environnement’s recommendations on sustainable development: accessibility, stormwater management using valleys, an acceptable carbon footprint in terms of both creation and management, increased use of renewable energies, generous and dominant landscaped areas with simple and economical management, biodiversity, integration of the new development into its original landscape, and in particular into the vegetation and swath pattern resulting from the former use of the land for sugar cane.
