ZAC RENAISSANCE 3

The site of the future ZAC Renaissance III was intended for the construction of the Maison des Civilisations. Located above the historic site of Saint-Paul, it symbolizes the history of settlement on Reunion Island.

Despite its strategic location, with easy access from the Route des Tamarins, where it serves as a sort of entrance and exit, the site has no image that would position it for a particular vocation: residential, cultural or business.

The specifications give it a dual vocation of residential and economic activity, a somewhat all-purpose vocation, since the island is faced with two challenges: to meet a strong demand for housing, most of which is social, and to offer a space capable of “inviting” the economic activities that can develop on the island.

The development plan is based on the geography of the site in all its components.

It organizes the future district into 6 sectors and determines urban functions, density and typologies.
