a 3-time award-winning project at pau!
Our project to redevelop the public spaces of the Quartier de la Monnaie in Pau has just won its 3rd award! This is an opportunity to take a look back at this project, to be delivered at the end of 2024, carried out on behalf of the City of Pau as part of the “Action Cœur de Ville” program.
- Concours National des Entrées de Ville 2026: winning prize for towns with more than 30,000 inhabitants
- SERCE Lumières 2025 competition: 3rd prize for the illumination of the Place de la Monnaie and the castle glacis
- Dark Award 2025 international competition: Art High Budget category
The program for this operation: complete redevelopment of the public space (2.9ha), creation of a medieval garden, staging of the Tour de la Monnaie, creation of a neighborhood square, insertion of an urban roundabout, modification of traffic flows, redevelopment of the Pont du 14 juillet bridge with insertion of bicycle paths and creation of a new guardrail, redevelopment of Avenue Jean Biray…
